![]() 1 retopo in 3d coat is much more intuitive then many other applications 2 uvmapping is simply fantastic and the best i have ever seen 3 it now has the abillity to make PBR rendered materials, so if say you do want to buy this but not use substance painter, you could, still tho substance painter does a better job with PBR materials tho im sure 3d coat will come into its own with PBR soon too, its just a matter of time as PBR is still really new here and needs time to mature, which these dev's are really good at keeping up on things. however 3d coat is a life and time saver for a lot of reasons. The only thing i would use maya for is anything to do with UE4 engine, otherwhys yes blender is outstanding for what it does which is simply just about everything.
